Minnesota Timberwolves duo Kevin Love and Nikola Pekovic were both eager to voice their concern following the overtime loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday.
Pekovic believes that the team have a problem with keeping up the intensity until the final buzzer after seeing the Clippers come from four behind with 18 seconds left to force overtime.
"We need to know how to win and play hard all the way to the end," the 27-year-old, who scored a career-high 34 points, told reporters. "Winning is a habit, like everything else. We still need to get over the hump to learn how to close out these games."
Love recorded 45 points of his own but admits that the Timberwolves lost their nerves at a crucial stage in the game at the Staples Center.
"We just blew it. Blew the game. I don't know how else to say it. We blew the game," the two-time All-Star claimed.
Minnesota have lost 15 of their 28 games this season.
