Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin has left the door open to a possible return to the Slam Dunk Contest in the future.
The 24-year-old won the title in 2011 after delighting NBA fans with a dunk which involved jumping over a car.
"I haven't retired officially. It isn't something I'll never, ever do again. But for right now, I try to take my rest when I can. And this year I really wanted that Saturday night rest. So not this year," he said, ESPN reports.
Terrence Ross will look to defend his title this year in New Orleans, with the likes of Paul George and Damian Lillard competing for the crown.
