The Brooklyn Nets are expected to rest power forward Kevin Garnett when they take on the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night.
The 37-year-old is averaging 6.5 points and 7.2 rebounds on 37.9% shooting from the field, but will require rest in a hectic schedule.
"We thought tonight would be a good game to give him some rest after giving him 12 minutes in that fourth quarter [on Wednesday night]," coach Jason Kidd said, according to ESPN.
Garnett has played in 23 of the team's 25 games so far this season and will now get extra time off ahead of the clash with the Indiana Pacers on Monday.
