San Diego Chargers rookie linebacker Manti Te'o has insisted that his side should not change their preparation, despite the fact that their divisional playoff clash against the Denver Broncos will be their third meeting with them this season.
Te'o said that while there are advantages to facing a team on multiple occasions in the season, it is important not to focus on past encounters too much in case there are surprises to come.
"There are advantages and disadvantages," he told the Chargers' official website.
"You think you know the team, but they could come out and run something totally different. You really don't know. You've just got to approach it as if you're playing them for the first time.
"Look at the things you did right the last time you played them and try to continue on those things and look at the things you did wrong and try to correct them. When it comes on Sunday, just reading your keys and running and flying around."
Te'o was drafted in the second round as the 38th overall pick in 2013.
