Half-Time Report: Jason Witten score hands Dallas Cowboys lead

A late strike from Jason Witten at the end of the first half hands the Dallas Cowboys a seven-point lead at the break in their clash with the Seattle Seahawks.

The Dallas Cowboys lead 17-10 at the break in their clash against the Seattle Seahawks at CenturyLink Field.

The Seahawks began the game well as Russell Wilson found Jermaine Kearse down the sideline on a go route for a big gain, which set up a 33-yard field goal from Steven Hauschka.

Dallas then saw an offensive drive stall which forced them to punt the ball away, but the kick from Chris Jones was blocked by Doug Baldwin, allowing Mike Morgan to scoop up the ball and run it in for the 25-yard score.

The Cowboys produced a response as Joseph Randle ran for 38 yards through the middle of the line, and Tony Romo then fired an excellent throw to the back of the endzone to Gavin Escobar for the touchdown.

Dallas had the chance to take the lead when Romo floated the ball towards the endzone, but Dez Bryant could not corral the pass and Dan Bailey tied the scores with a 42-yard field goal.

The visitors went ahead just before the break when a big completion to Bryant set them up inside the red zone, and Romo delivered a strike over the middle to Jason Witten for the score.
