The son of WWE announcer Jerry 'The King' Lawler has given an update on his father's condition after he suffered a heart attack live on television on Monday night.
The Memphis native suffered the heart attack during a live filming of Monday Night Raw in Montreal, and his son, Brian Christopher, who wrestled for the company from 1997-2001, released a statement asking for prayers from fans.
"He is responsive to questions that he is asked which is very good," read the statement.
"His sedation and breathing support are being lowered slowly right now. Everyone out there needs to say a special prayer for his brain at this point, please. Tests on his brain will not be available until the morning."
Lawler had wrestled earlier on in the broadcast before returning to commentary duties.
