Wrestling bronze for Scotland's Viorel Etko, England miss out on medal

Scotland's Viorel Etko has won bronze in the men's wrestling 61kg freestyle at the Commonwealth Games.

The 36-year-old overcame Adam Vella of Malta in the bronze-medal final at the SECC, winning the contest in the first period.

Nigerian wrestler Amas Daniel also won bronze having defeated England's Sash Madyarchyk in the other medal playoff.

The gold-medal final in the discipline was contested between Bajrang Bajrang of India and Canada's David Tremblay, and it was the latter who came out on top in Glasgow having recorded a 12-1 points victory in the first period.
