Travis Ganong backs Bode Miller for Sochi success

Travis Ganong believes that his Team USA teammate Bode Miller is "coming into peak form".

Travis Ganong has backed his Team USA teammate Bode Miller to win a medal at the Winter Olympics in Sochi.

The 36-year-old alpine ski racer posted the fastest time in the first training run on the Rosa Khutor layout on Thursday.

"You can see he's been building all summer and all season to this moment," the Washington Post quotes Ganong as saying.

"He's really coming into peak form right now, which is cool to see. He had a good program leading up to this point, and now he's looking like he's getting in position to really have a good chance to medal here."

Miller is competing in his fifth Olympics.
