Budweiser drops out of Sochi?

Budweiser drops its traditional Olympics party for this year's Winter Games because the company is 'uncomfortable' with the situation in Sochi.

American beer company Budweiser has dropped its traditional Olympics party event for this year's Winter Games because the company is 'uncomfortable' with the situation in Sochi, according to reports.

A representative for Anheuser-Busch confirmed to TMZ that Budweiser's Club Bud 'party spot' will not be in the Russian resort.

While the rep would allegedly not give a specific reason for the cancellation, TMZ reported that "the company is not comfortable with the situation in Russia" and does not want reps in Sochi because "the terrorist threat is simply looming too large".

Earlier today, the US government is reported to have warned airlines flying into Russia that explosives could be hidden in toothpaste tubes and smuggled on their aircraft.
