Russia has been on high alert ahead of the start of the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, and have been tightening security due to the opening ceremony taking place on Friday.
The US Department of Homeland Security has insisted that it will share all information possible to ensure the security of all people attending and competing in the Games.
They said in a statement: "[The US] regularly shares information with domestic and international partners, including those associated with international events such as the Sochi Olympics."
The White House National Security Council is also adamant that there is no reason to change any travel plans in regards to the Olympic Games.
Spokeswoman Laura Magnuson told reporters: "If we should receive information in the coming days and weeks that changes our assessment of whether people should travel to Sochi, we will make that information public."
