Great Britain 12th after first bobsleigh heats

Rebekah Wilson and Paula Walker end the first day of the bobsleigh competition in 12th place out of 19.

Team GB's women's bobsleigh pair Rebekah Wilson and Paula Walker have finished the first day of competition in 12th place of 19 runners.

The pair managed a first run of 58.36 before going slightly slower in heat two, which was 58.40, to hold a combined time of 1:56.76, just three hundredths behind the USA third team.

United States' first team are top of the standings currently with a rapid 1:54.89 overall, ahead of Canada 1 (1:55.12) and USA 2 (1:55.45) which are the only two teams within a second of the Americans.

The competition continues with heats three and four on Wednesday.
