Canada's Brad Jacobs: 'Team GB defeat was karma'

Brad Jacobs is "shocked" that Team GB head coach Soren Gran criticised Canada's approach to curling.

Canada skip Brad Jacobs believes that Great Britain head coach Soren Gran got what he deserved for criticising his side ahead of the men's curling final at the 2014 Winter Olympics.

The Canadians got the better of their Team GB counterparts 9-3 in Sochi on Friday, just a day after Gran slammed the North American team's "aggressive" approach to the sport.

"I was a little shocked," BBC Sport quotes the 28-year-old as saying.

"I don't know what his thinking was in saying that publicly before the final. I really think that was a big mistake on his part.

"I really believe in karma and I think that's what you maybe saw out there tonight."

Sweden defeated China to win the bronze medal.
