Austrian skier Elisabeth Goergl: 'Late night drugs test was not fair'

Austrian alpine skier Elisabeth Goergl says that it is not fair that she was visited by doping officials at 11pm the night before the women's downhill event.

Austrian alpine skier Elisabeth Goergl has said that it was "not very fair" that drugs testers visited her on the night before the women's downhill.

The 32-year-old, who won two bronze medals at Vancouver, finished 16th in today's competition, following the 11pm visit from doping officials.

Goergl told Austrian TV: "At 11 last night the doping officials were with me. I think that's not very fair. I told them it's not OK what they were doing."

The IOC said in a statement: "As part of its testing programme here in Sochi, all Olympic athletes can be tested at any time, this usually happens between 6am and 11pm."

The downhill was jointly won by Tina Maze and Dominique Gisin.
