Serena Williams has been eliminated in the fourth round of Wimbledon following a 6-2 1-6 6-4 defeat to Sabine Lisicki.
Neither player could be separated in their opening two service games, but a break moments later allowed Lisicki to move ahead in the set.
The German staved off the challenge of Williams to hold, before breaking the defending champion once more to move into a one-set lead.
Williams responded in the second, however, securing three consecutive breaks either side of three holds to send the match into a third set.
An incredible five breaks of serve occurred in the third and final set, but it was Lisicki who secured the decisive break at 4-4 before serving for a place in the final eight.
