Andy Murray imperious against Roberto Bautista Agut

Andy Murray continues the impressive start to his Wimbledon defence by beating 27th-seed Roberto Bautista Agut in straight sets to advance to the fourth round.

Andy Murray continued the convincing start to his Wimbledon defence with a 6-2 6-3 6-2 victory over Roberto Bautista Agut on Centre Court this evening.

The Briton took only 95 minutes to overcome his first seeded opponent at this year's SW19 and has now advanced to the fourth round without having dropped a set.

Murray broke twice in a first set in which he won 100% of his first-serve points, against an opponent who is climbing the world rankings rapidly and won a maiden grass court title in Netherlands last week.

An early break in the second helped the two-time Grand Slam champion consolidate his advantage, and another one gave him a 5-2 lead, which Bautista Agut reduced with his first break of the contest.

The Spaniard could not build on this as Murray secured the second set at the fourth opportunity, and this seemed to be a body blow to Bautista Agut, who rolled over in the early stages of the third.

Murray lost only two points in racing 4-0 ahead, and although Bautista Agut got two games on the board in reply to avoid a bagel, the Scot soon wrapped up the match, again at the fourth time of asking.

South African Kevin Anderson, ranked number 18 in the world, awaits Murray in the fourth round.
