Caroline Wozniacki, David Ferrer and Andy Roddick are among the players who will be forced to wait overnight to complete their first-round Wimbledon matches after rain suspended play on Tuesday evening.

Caroline Wozniacki will resume her first round match at Wimbledon on Wednesday after rain ended the second day's play early at SW19.

The Danish former world number one, who is still looking for her Grand Slam title, was level at 2-2 with Tamira Paszek in the early stages of her opening round contest.

Meanwhile seventh-seed David Ferrer's match with Dustin Brown was also delayed by the weather with the Spaniard leading 7-6 6-4 1-1 on Court 18.

Former finalist Andy Roddick and Scotland's Jamie Baker are another pair who will have to wait overnight before learning their second-round fate.

Roddick closed the day with a one-set lead over the British number two after claiming the first set on a tie-break.
