Jo-Wilfried Tsonga looking ahead to "second chance"

Wimbledon semi-finalist Jo-Wilfried Tsonga says that he wants to go one better than last year and reach his first SW19 final.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has said that he is looking ahead to his second consecutive Wimbledon semi-final after defeating Philipp Kohlscreiber today.

The Frenchman overcame the big-serving German in four sets earlier this afternoon and next faces either Andy Murray or David Ferrer in the last four.

Speaking after his quarter-final, Tsonga said: "It was not easy today. Philipp played well and was really agressive. It was really tough today so I'm happy to go through."

Tsonga, who is seeded fifth at the All England Club this year, was knocked out by eventual champion Novak Djokovic at the semi-final stage last year.

He added: "For me it's going to be a second chance after last year. I will try to play my best tennis and enjoy myself out there."

Tsonga has only ever reached one Grand Slam final, that being in 2008 at the Australian Open where he lost out to Djokovic.
