Andy Murray: Beating Roger Federer will be "tough"

Andy Murray admits that he is going to have his work cut out to get beyond Roger Federer in the semi-finals at Wimbledon.

Andy Murray has conceded that it will be "tough" for him to overcome Roger Federer in the semi-finals of Wimbledon this Friday.

The Scot set up the clash with the seven-time champion courtesy of a 6-4 7-6 6-4 quarter-final win over Vasek Pospisil earlier today.

However, Murray admitted that he could find it difficult to overcome a player that defeated him in the 2012 final at SW19.

"I have always played good tennis here. I hope I can get to another final but it's going to be tough," he told BBC Sport.

"I know Roger very well, we walked to the practice courts together this morning. Friday is a different story and hopefully we can have a great match."

Overall, the head-to-head record between the two players is in favour of Federer, who leads 12-11.
