James Ward has admitted that he is expecting a tough match against Jiri Vesely in the second round of Wimbledon on Thursday afternoon.
The British number four overturned a set deficit to defeat Luca Vanni on Tuesday, but ahead of his first meeting with the world number 45, the Londoner has revealed that he has needed to seek advice regarding the strengths and weaknesses of the Czech.
The 28-year-old told BBC Sport: "I've spoken to a few people about him this morning, and I will continue to get a few opinions about him.
"He's a left-hander with a good serve and a strong backhand. We will try to come up with a plan, but I'm sure that he knows a bit about me as well."
If Ward can beat Vesely, he would reach the third round of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time.
