The start of day four at Wimbledon has been delayed after a wet morning at SW19.
On Wednesday, a new record temperature was recorded at the third major tournament of the year as a heatwave descended on England, but despite conditions remaining humid, rain has ensured that play will not begin on time on the outside courts.
The rain is expected to continue into the early afternoon, meaning that the likes of James Ward and Caroline Wozniacki must wait to begin their matches in the second round.
However, due to the roof, play on Centre Court will get underway as scheduled at 1pm, with Sabine Lisicki, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal all in action.
