"Dizzy" Bernard Tomic struggling with heatwave

Australian Bernard Tomic reveals that he felt "dizzy" during his second-round Wimbledon win over Pierre-Hugues Herbert as temperatures continue to soar at SW19.

Bernard Tomic has admitted that the sweltering heat at Wimbledon almost got the better of him in his second-round win over Pierre-Hugues Herbert of France today.

Day three saw a competition-record temperature of 35.7 degree celsius as the heatwave continued at SW19 this afternoon.

The Australian, who beat Hughes Herbert 7-6 6-4 7-6 to reach round three, revealed that the conditions are making it increasingly tough to compete.

"I just haven't been sleeping well here. It's been too hot," Tomic told BBC Sport. "I was fatigued and starting to get dizzy out there with the heat hitting me."

Tomic will face defending champion Novak Djokovic in the next round.
