World number 126 Brian Baker, who recently returned to tennis following a five-year injury-related absence, says that he enjoys being considered the underdog.

World number 126 Brian Baker has said that he enjoys being considered the underdog.

The 27-year-old American, who only returned to the tour last year following almost six years out with a succession of injuries, will reach the quarter-finals of a Grand Slam for the first time in his career if he manages to overcome Philipp Kohlschreiber at Wimbledon later today.

"I'm sure I'll probably be the underdog again going into the match, which is fine for me," said Baker.

"I'm kind of happy still being the hunter going in there. I know I'll have to play my best match to win because he's a great player."

The winner of the match between Baker and 27th seed Kohlschreiber will face Jo-Wilfried Tsonga or Mardy Fish in the last eight.
