Bernard Tomic admits that he has no complaints after he is comfortably beaten by Andy Roddick in the second round of the US Open.

Bernard Tomic has admitted that he has no complaints following Friday's defeat to Andy Roddick in the second round of the US Open.

The Australian was beaten 3-6 4-6 0-6 by the former champion, who announced earlier this week that he would be retiring at the end of the tournament.

"Andy was playing I think really good at the net, coming into the net," Tomic told reporters. "Every time I wanted to pass him, he ended up hitting a half-volley winner or a volley winner.

"He was on top of me the whole match. I can't complain. The whole match was his way from start to finish pretty much."

Roddick's reward for beating Tomic is a third-round encounter with Italy's Fabio Fognini.
