Top seed Novak Djokovic has made it through to the third round of the Rogers Cup in Toronto with a straight-sets victory over Bernard Tomic.
The Serbain saved six break points in the opening set before breaking twice to take it 6-2.
The world number two then seized his chance in the second with a single break to see off the Australian 6-3.
Sam Querrey now waits for Djokovic in the third round following the American's 6-2 6-3 win over 13th seed Kei Nishikori.
