Novak Djokovic has admitted that he has taken a risk by appointing Boris Becker as his new coach.

The Serbian world number two teamed up with the six-time Grand Slam champion last month in a surprise move.

"Whenever you make a change in life, it's a potential risk," Sky Sports News quotes him as saying. "But I don't want to think from that perspective. I'm really excited about this co-operation.

"All I see is positive results, and hope for that obviously. I cannot predict or promise anything now."

Djokovic begins the defence of his Australian Open title on Monday when he faces Slovakian world number 96 Lukas Lacko.
