World number two Andy Murray will play Edouard Roger-Vasselin in round two of the Monte Carlo Masters on Wednesday afternoon.
Great Britain's Murray had been given a bye into the second round and over the weekend it was revealed that he would face either Roger-Vasselin or Robin Haase of the Netherlands in his opening encounter.
France's Roger-Vasselin made sure it was him who advanced through earlier today by defeating Haase 6-3 6-2.
Meanwhile, Mikhail Youznhy's 6-4 6-0 win over Daniel Gimeno-Traver means that he will take on world number one Novak Djokovic.
