Tommy Haas secured his place in the fourth round of the BNP Paribas Open with win over number 11 seed Nicolas Almagro.
The 34-year-old took the first set in style securing it 6-3. However, the Spaniard fought back in the second winning a tie-breaker 7-2.
In the final set, Haas reversed the result of the second set, winning a tie-breaker of his own and securing the match in just over two-and-a-half-hours.
Haas will play either Juan Martin del Potro or Bjorn Phau in the fourth round.
