Juan Martin del Potro has beaten Nikolay Davydenko in straight sets to reach the third round of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.
The Argentine seventh seed wasted four break points early in the opening set before he eventually clinched it 6-3.
Del Potro looked to be in trouble in the second when he went lost the first three games, but he turned it around with two breaks to seal the win 6-4.
The former US Open champion will take on Germany's Bjorn Phau in the next round of the tournament.
