Heather Watson keen to make impression in main draw

British number one Heather Watson reveals that she is keen to convert her previous form at Roland Garros into wins in the main draw.

Heather Watson has admitted that she is eager to build on her previous appearances at Roland Garros when she meets Mathilde Johansson in the opening round.

The British number one has reached the second round on three occasions, but with several more victories being recorded during the qualifying rounds since her debut in 2011, the Guernsey hitter is confident ahead of her clash with the French player.

The 23-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "I've played a lot matches here and won a lot of matches.

"Most of them have been in qualifying, so hopefully I can start converting them into main draw wins."

If Watson can beat Johansson, she will face the winner of the match between Venus Williams and Sloane Stephens.
