Agnieszka Radwanska progresses to third round

Agnieszka Radwanska gets the better of Olga Govortsova with ease in her second-round clash at the Australian Open.

Agnieszka Radwanska has booked her place in the third round of the Australian Open with a straight-sets victory over Olga Govortsova.

The 24-year-old won her second-round contest 6-0 7-5 in 71 minutes at the Hisense Arena.

Radwanska took just 24 minutes to wrap up the first set, winning 25 points and committing just two unforced errors. In contrast, Govortsova clinched nine points and made 10 unforced errors.

The second set was a much closer affair as Govortsova threatened to launch a comeback and take it to a tie-break.

However, her Polish opponent held her nerve and maintained her composure to see out the set 7-5 in 51 minutes, winning 38 points in the process.
