Li recorded three aces and conceded just one break point, which she saved, in the entire match.

Konjuh struggled to make any impact against Li's serve during the second set, in which the Croatian won only four receiving points.

Next up for the Chinese number one is a clash with Switzerland's Belinda Bencic, who overcame Kimiko Date-Krumm 6-4 4-6 6-3.
