Ana Ivanovic upbeat despite loss

Ana Ivanovic stays positive despite her quarter-final defeat to Eugenie Bouchard at the Australian Open.

Ana Ivanovic has remained upbeat despite her quarter-final defeat to Eugenie Bouchard at the Australian Open.

The former world number one was beaten 7-5 5-7 2-6 on Tuesday.

"If at the beginning of the summer, someone told me this would be the outcome of it, I would agree to it," Ivanovic told reporters. "I had some really good wins, some very emotional wins, and a lot of positive things came out of it.

"Obviously it's very disappointing the way it ended, but on a positive note I feel like maybe I played the best tennis of my life here. I just want to keep my head up and keep working hard."

Bouchard will now meet Chinese world number four Li Na in her first Grand Slam semi-final.
