Australian Jarmila Gajdosova has said that she will "fight" when she faces Simona Halep in the second round of the Australian Open later this week.
The world number 62 secured her first win in 10 attempts in Melbourne in her match against Alexandra Dulgheru earlier today, setting up a meeting with the world number three in round two.
The 27-year-old told reporters: "Obviously she's been playing well. She's number three in the world.
"But I've been playing what seems like all the top 10-ers the last three weeks, so it's just another person on the other side of the net for me.
"I'm going to go and play the way I played today, the way I played last week, and I will fight and do my best, and we'll see who comes out on top."
Gajdosova is a former champion in mixed doubles at the Australian Open.
