Novak Djokovic is ready for Andy Murray Test

Novak Djokovic is ready to renew his "special" rivalry with Andy Murray and is expecting a tough test.

Novak Djokovic has insisted that he is ready for the physical and mental test that Andy Murray will provide when the two meet in the Australian Open final tomorrow.

The world number one also denied claims that he will be better prepared, having needed just three sets to beat David Ferrer, while Murray played out a five-set semi-final with Roger Federer.

Murray beat Djokovic in five sets in last year's US Open final, and the Serb is predicting another gruelling encounter.

"Yes, Andy played a five-set match against Roger, but aside from that, he hasn't really been tested," said Djokovic. "He's also considered one of the fittest and strongest guys around, so I'm sure he'll be ready for the final.

"Considering the fact that every time we played in the last six or seven encounters, it was always long, physically demanding matches. We have to expect something similar to happen, and I'm ready."

Djokovic also went on to admit that he enjoys his rivalry with Andy, and says that it is special because they have know each other for so long.

He continued: "We have a great rivalry at the moment. I think it's special because we are the same age. We have known each other since we were 11, 12 years old.

"It's nice to see somebody you grew up with doing so well."

Djokovic will play Murray at 8.30am tomorrow morning.
