Tomas Berdych has denied that he attempted to antagonise Andy Murray moments after winning the first set in their Australian Open semi-final.
Murray voiced his displeasure to the umpire after passing Berdych at the net but the Czech hitter - who won just eight games during the remaining three sets - insisted that there was nothing in the incident.
The 29-year-old told reporters: "I said to myself, 'Well done, Tomas'. That's it. That's what I said. I think that I'm allowed to do that when I win a set."
Berdych's defeat to Murray is the second successive year that he has lost in the last four in Melbourne.
