Darcy Deakin has hailed fellow Team GB swimmer Luke Greenbank for his record-breaking performance in the men's 200m backstroke at the European Games.
The 17-year-old added to his earlier gold in the 100m event by storming to victory in Baku, finishing nearly three seconds ahead of the chasing pack in a time of 1:56.89.
Deakin, who missed out on qualifying for the women's 50m freestyle semis in her last outing, took to Twitter to praise her compatriot's efforts.
Unreal swimming, totally deserved though! WELL DONE @lukegreenbank97 🎉🎉🎉 pic.twitter.com/hLn6SHFqeR
