Great Britain's Joe Hulme has chosen not to enter the heats of the 50m backstroke at the European Games.
Hulme, who narrowly missed out on a medal in the 100m backstroke final, likely opted out of the event because he will compete for gold in the 200m backstroke final this afternoon.
The Briton was third-fastest in the semi-finals yesterday, and will be up against teammate Luke Greenbank, who qualified in first place.
Meanwhile, in the 50m backstroke heats, Romania's Robert Glinta (25.78s) set the pace, just ahead of Russia's Filipp Shopin (25.79s) and Germany's Marek Ulrich (25.80s).
