Team England swimmer Adam Brown has said that giving 'everything from his heart' was the key to his gold-medal success at the Commonwealth Games.
The 25-year-old played a key role in the men's 4x100m relay as England recorded a time of 31.51s to win the race with a new Games record.
"I swam on the freestyle leg, and I was up against the fastest guy in the world, James Magnussen, so I knew he was going to be coming back at me the whole second 50 [metres]," Brown told BBC Sport. "I had to dig in real deep and give it everything from my heart."
Australia took silver, while the bronze medal went to South Africa.
