Swimming Australia appoint Michael Scott

Former British performance coach Michael Scott takes on a role with Swimming Australia.

Michael Scott has been named Swimming Australia's new director of high performance.

The Australian had been out of work since he left his role as national performance director with British Swimming following what was seen as a disappointing display at the London Olympics last year.

Scott will work alongside Mark Anderson, who has given up his position with the country's hockey team to take on the duties.

The duo have replaced Kevin Neil and Leigh Nugent after they stepped aside following the 2012 Games.
