Britain's Steve Scott delighted with bronze at Shooting World Championships

Great Britain's Steve Scott says that he is "really happy" to have scooped bronze at the World Championships in Granada.

Great Britain's Steve Scott has added bronze to his collection of medals this year by finishing third in the men's double trap at the Shooting World Championships in Granada.

Scott hit 27 of his final 30 clay pigeons to beat Italy's Daniele Di Spigno into the final medal position of the event.

"I'm really happy. The World Championships is next in line to the Olympics," Scott told BBC Sport. "I came here to win but to get a bronze medal is more than good enough for me."

Joshua Richmond of the United States clinched the gold with a round of 30, while Italy's Antonino Barilla was awarded silver for his efforts.

Scott won gold at the Commonwealth Games and European Championships earlier in the summer.
