Jen McIntosh has paid tribute to her mother Shirley after replacing her as Scotland's most-decorated female athlete in Commonwealth Games history.
The 23-year-old shooter secured her fifth Commonwealth medal by winning silver in this evening's 50m rifle three positions event to overtake her mother as the nation's most successful woman at the Games.
"My mum gave me a big hug and said she was proud of me. Both her and my dad have give me a lot of support," she told BBC Sport.
"I always keen to follow in my mum's footsteps, she finally gave in and I'm here."
McIntosh finished third in Monday's 50m air rifle event to add to her two golds and one bronze from Delhi four years ago.
