Newcastle Falcons sign winger Marcus Watson

Newcastle Falcons confirm that England sevens winger Marcus Watson will join the club at the end of the season.

Newcastle Falcons have confirmed that England sevens winger Marcus Watson will join the club in the summer.

The 23-year-old, who has had a sevens contract since 2012, is an academy product of London Irish.

Watson's younger brother is Bath and England back Anthony Watson.

"I've massively enjoyed my time with England sevens," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "I'm looking forward to heading up to Newcastle next season, it will be a new challenge for me, but one I'm excited about."

Newcastle are currently in 10th place in the Aviva Premiership table.
