New Zealand book themselves a place against France in the Rugby World Cup final after a convincing win over Australia.

World Cup hosts New Zealand will face France in the final after a dominant win over Australia at Eden Park.

It was a solid all-round performance from the All Blacks, whose forwards in particular dominated the Wallabies.

Piri Weepu kicked four penalties, Aaron Cruden scored a drop goal, while veteran Ma'a Nonu touched down for a try to seal a much-deserved win.

For Australia, James O'Connor scored a penalty, while New Zealand-born Quade Cooper converted a drop goal, but it was not enough, as the All Blacks held on comfortably for the win to spark scenes of jubilation from the home crowd.
