London Wasps back-row James Haskell believes that his time spent in Japan and New Zealand as rounded his game.

London Wasps and England back-row James Haskell believes that his rugby ability has improved after two seasons in New Zealand and Japan.

Haskell has spent the last two seasons away with Japan's Ricoh Black Rams and New Zealand's Highlanders.

"I now have experience of being in different environments and can adjust to things better," said Haskell.

"I'm the same loud, brash guy, but I feel I now have more of a leadership element to my game.

"I'm willing to take more responsibility and I believe I have a better rugby brain than when I went away."

Haskell returned to the Wasps over the summer.
