London Irish sign Sean Maitland

Scotland international Sean Maitland insists that he will remain focused on Glasgow Warriors for the time being after agreeing to join London Irish next season.

Sean Maitland has revealed that he is "looking forward" to linking up with London Irish next season, having agreed a switch from Glasgow Warriors.

The 26-year-old, who was yesterday named in Scotland's 32-man Six Nations squad, has scored 11 tries in 38 appearances for the Warriors since joining the club in 2012.

"I'm looking forward to my new challenge in London next season," BBC Sport quotes him as saying. "But all my focus will be on the Warriors until then, starting with a massive game against Bath this weekend."

New-Zealand born Maitland has previously enjoyed a four-year spell at Super Rugby side Crusaders.
