New Zealand prop Ben Franks joins London Irish

London Irish confirm the signing of New Zealand prop Ben Franks on a three-year contract.

London Irish have confirmed the signing of New Zealand prop Ben Franks.

The 30-year-old will join the Exiles from Super Rugby club Hurricanes on a three-year deal at the end of the season.

Franks, who has won 42 caps at international level, was part of the All Blacks side that won the 2011 World Cup.

"Ben is a world-class player and we are delighted he has decided to sign with London Irish," operations director Bob Casey told the club's official website.

"It is a real statement of intent that a player of his class and experience has signed and shows the ambition of the club and our owners."

Franks has spent the past two seasons playing for Hurricanes.
