John Yapp joins London Irish on loan

Edinburgh prop John Yapp has joined London Irish on a season-long loan agreement.

The 30-year-old was part of the Wales squad that completed the Grand Slam in the 2005 Six Nations.

"I'm thrilled to be joining London Irish this season," Yapp told the club's official website. "They proved during the second half of last season that they are a very good side. I'm looking forward to the challenge of playing in the Aviva Premiership."

Irish get their league campaign underway at home to Saracens on September 7.
