Last-gap Owen Williams penalty seals draw for Leicester Tigers

Owen Williams and Charlie Hodgson score seven penalties each as Leicester Tigers and Saracens play out a 21-21 draw at Welford Park.

Owen Williams scored a last-gasp penalty for Leicester Tigers to earn them a 21-21 Aviva Premiership draw with Saracens at Welford Road this afternoon.

All the points scored in the game came via penalties with Williams and Charlie Hodgson kicking seven a piece for their respective sides.

Hodgson was first on the board with a couple of penalties within the first 20 minutes, and Williams struck his first of the afternoon shortly after before evening the score up before the half-hour mark.

However, Hodgson kicked two more to give Saracens the advantage heading into the second half.

The visitors looked to have won it when Hodgson hit his final penalty of the afternoon five minutes from time, but Williams responded with just a few seconds remaining to secure the draw.
