Leicester Tigers director of rugby Richard Cockerill is delighted with his side's comeback victory at Worcester Warriors on Friday night.

Leicester Tigers director of rugby Richard Cockerill has expressed his delight following his side's comeback victory at Worcester Warriors on Friday night.

The Tigers have moved temporarily top of the Aviva Premiership table as they fought back from 14-5 down at half time to earn a 19-14 win.

"I think firstly you have to congratulate how well Worcester played in that first half - they just outplayed us," Cockerill told Sky Sports News. "I'd like to make the excuse that we were inaccurate but I don't think I can.

"They were exceptionally good in that first half but our try just before the break gave us that bit of incentive and put the doubt in their minds for the second half."

Leicester resume their Heineken Cup duties next Sunday when they travel to Ospreys.
