Harlequins 11-19 Saracens
Owen Farrell boosts his England chances by producing good form with the boot as Saracens defeat Harlequins at Twickenham.

Saracens have closed the gap on Harlequins at the top of the Aviva Premiership with a 19-11 victory over Quins at Twickenham in front of an 80,000-strong crowd.

The win was thanks largely to the boot of England hopeful Owen Farrell, who scored four penalties before the break.

The 20-year-old also sent a conversion between the posts after David Strettle had gone over for a 19th minute try.

In reply Nick Evans scored two penalties to send the teams into half time 19-6 in favour of Sarries.

Quins claimed the only points after the restart when Joe Marler went over for a 47th minute try. Evans missed the chance to close the gap by failing to make the conversion.

Sarries now trail Quins by five points in the Aviva Premiership table.
